Allocating Award Leaders
Give waiting participants a Leader, answer requests for one or for a change, and set how your Operator allocates them.
Every participant needs an Award Leader. Leader allocation shows who is still waiting and who asked for a change, so nobody is left without one.
Who is waiting
Open Leader allocation. Waiting for a Leader lists participants without one, and marks those who have waited too long. A banner on your home page counts them and links to the list.
For each one we suggest the Leaders of your Award Centre who still have room, with how many participants each has. A Leader at the limit cannot take more. Under Assign to, use Choose a Leader, then Assign. The participant is told.
Requests
Under Requests, a participant has asked for a Leader or for a change. You see their reason, and who leads them now. Assign a Leader, or choose Decline and write a reason. The participant reads it.
How your Operator sets it up
Operator admins open Leader allocation in the settings. They choose:
- Whether to give a participant a Leader automatically when they register. We pick the Leader of their Award Centre with the fewest participants, under the limit. A participant who cannot be given one waits for you.
- Most participants a Leader is given, from 1 to 200, or no limit.
- Which Standard questions Leaders and participants answer, and one question of the Operator’s own, with two to six choices in every language you offer.
Choose Save allocation, then publish from the settings overview.
