Terms of use
Version 1, published on 27 October 2026
Published by the Foundation
These terms apply when you use the Online Record Book. Please read them before you start.
Who runs the Online Record Book
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation provides the Online Record Book. The national Award office runs the Award in your country, and your Award Centre runs it where you take part.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in to yourself. Do not let anyone else use your account.
- Tell your Award Centre if you think someone else has used it.
- One account can hold several roles. Use each only for what it is for.
What you record
- Record what you really did. Your Award Leader and assessors rely on it.
- What you upload stays yours. You allow the Foundation, the national Award office and your Award Centre to use it to run the Award.
- Do not upload anything that is not yours to share, or that could hurt someone.
Respect
Treat everyone you meet here with respect. The national Award office may close an account that is used to harm others.
Changes
When these terms change, they take a new version and we tell you. Find out more about the Award at intaward.org.
