Joining the Award

Check that you can take part, then choose your Award Centre and level, tell us about yourself and agree to the texts, in four short steps.

You can join the Award online in four short steps. You need no account to start, and we only ask what we need.

Check that you can take part

Choose Check whether you can take part. Answer three questions: How old are you?, Where do you live? and whether anything may mean you need longer to finish. Nothing you answer is saved. You then see You can take part, Not yet or You cannot take part here, with the reason and what to do next. Choose Join now to carry on.

Join as a participant

Choose Join as a participant. The steps are:

  1. Your answers to the three questions, once more.
  2. Your Award Centre and level. Use Search Award Centres, then Choose your Award Centre. Pick the level you want to start, or choose Not sure yet and pick it later.
  3. About you. If you are under the age where a parent or guardian must agree, add at least one under Your parents or guardians. We write to them with a link to agree.
  4. Agree and join. Read each text, then tick the box. The terms of use and the privacy notice are needed to join. News by email and research are optional, and you can change your mind later.

After you join

Check your email opens the last page. Open the link we sent, then choose Go to sign in. We check your account as soon as you do, and your home page tells you what is still to do.
