Reflecting on your Award
Say what you did, what was hard and what you learnt, by typing, by voice or by video.
A reflection is your own words about a section or about the whole Award. It is for you, your Leader and the people who sign off your Award.
When you are asked
When the time of a section is met, Next up asks you to reflect on it, while you wait for your assessor. When every section is complete, you can reflect on the whole Award. Sometimes we ask for that reflection before you can submit the Award. Then Next up leads you to it first.
How to answer
Each question has a box. You can leave any of them empty. Or choose Voice or Video and record your answer, or choose a recording from your phone. A reflection holds up to three recordings. Nothing has to be typed.
Choose Save my reflection. With no signal, it is kept on your phone and sent later. Changing a reflection needs a connection. You can change it until its section is complete, or until you submit your Award. If your Award is sent back, you can change its reflection again.
Who reads it
You, your Award Leader and the staff of your Award Centre. Your assessor reads only the reflection on the section they assess.
For Operator admins
Open Reflection in the settings. Turn on The Award reflection is required to ask for it before an Award is submitted. Add up to six questions of your own, in every language you offer. Without questions of your own, we ask the Foundation’s four: what you did, what was hard, what you learnt and what you will do next. Choose Save in the draft, then publish from the settings page.
